Telford Work is professor of theology at Westmont College. He has taught theology and related disciplines on five continents. He is the author of Jesus—The End of the Beginning: Tracing the Christ-Shaped Nature of Everything, the Brazos Theological Commentary on the Bible: Deuteronomy, Ain’t Too Proud to Beg: Living through the Lord’s Prayer, and Living and Active: Scripture in the Economy of Salvation. He is also a contributor and signatory of In One Body through the Cross: the Princeton Proposal for Christian Unity. His has written chapters in books from Oxford University Press, Eerdmans, Fortress, Baker, Zondervan, and InterVarsity Press, and articles in Christianity Today, Theology Today, Scottish Journal of Theology, International Journal of Systematic Theology, Pro Ecclesia, Books & Culture, and St. Vladimir’s Seminary Quarterly. His Ph.D. in religion (theology and ethics) is from Duke University. He also holds an M.A. in theological and biblical studies from Fuller Theological Seminary and a B.A. in political science from Stanford University. His course lectures on Christian doctrine are online at YouTube and iTunes U. He and his wife Kim have four children. He is Scoutmaster of Montecito's Scout troop and on a team of volunteer chaplains at the Santa Barbara County Jail.
